Ketuvim Study-Tehillim
We will be studying the "Sifrei Emet", the books of Iyov, Mishlei and Tehillim. Each book will be studied in a way more fitting to its own literary style. In depth study of these classes is a rare opportunity you will want to take part in, to expand Jewish knowledge of these classic books from Ketuvim.

Hilchos 101
It's back to the basics of the do's and don'ts in different areas of Jewish life. We will distinguish between halakha (law) and custom, and learn about the sources for customs which have crept into our practical observances over time. We will reexamine the kosher kitchen, Shabbos practices (lighting candles, kiddush, havdalah), tallis and tefillin, synagogue practices, laws of shiva (for visitors and mourners), bikur cholim, and other areas of life that impact our day-to-day life.

Haftorah of the Week
Did you ever wonder what the Haftorah is all about? Why is this passage of Navi connected to the particular parsha? What are the thematic similarities between a prophesy and the Torah’s narrative or commandments? These questions and many more will be discussed along with an overview of the weekly parsha.

Movie Night
Cast a Giant Shadow. An oldy but a goody. All of our old favorites; Kirk Douglas, Senta Berger, Yul Brynner, John Wayne, Frank Sinatra and Angie Dickinson star in this 1966 blockbuster. The film is a fictionalized account of the experiences of Colonel David "Mickey" Marcus, a real-life Jewish-American military officer, who commanded units of the fledgling Israel Defense Forces during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.
